The IIHT Jodhpur Alumni Association hosted a heartwarming Alumni Reunion Function on 6th April 2024, welcoming back former students spanning from the year 1996 to 2023. Over 250 alumni returned to their alma mater, reconnecting with old friends and reminiscing about their time at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology in Jodhpur.The event, held at the institute's premises, provided an opportunity for alumni to witness the recent developments and changes within the institution. It was a nostalgic journey for many, as they walked through the familiar corridors and shared memories of their time spent at IIHT Jodhpur.

The Chief Guest of the function, Shri Vivek Kumar Bajpai, the Additional Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, graced the occasion and acknowledged the alumni who traveled from across the country to attend the event. He highlighted the significant contributions of IIHTs to the handloom and textile sector and felicitated the alumni from the batches of 1996, 1997, and 1998 for completing 25 years of service since their diploma from IIHT Jodhpur.Shri Vishesh Notiyal, the Zonal Director of Weavers Service Centres (North Zone), Delhi, also attended the event as the Guest of Honour, commending the organizing team for their efforts in bringing together the alumni community.

The Director of the institute, Dr. Sivagnanam KJ, delivered a keynote address, reflecting on the institute's journey and its impact on the textile industry. The President of the association, Shri Imtiyaz Khan, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting the tone for a memorable reunion.

The event also featured the unveiling of the IIHT Jodhpur Alumni Tribute Gallery, inviting attendees to embark on a journey filled with nostalgia, memories, and inspiration. It was a celebration of shared experiences and achievements, showcasing the enduring bond between the alumni and their alma mater.
